COLORADO SPRINGS — Both the Doherty Spartans and Cheyenne Mountain Indians ran away with victories at Broadmoor World Arena on Saturday night.
In the earlier game, Cheyenne Mountain came out firing with three quick goals and did not look back from there, beating the Palmer Terrors 11 to 1.
The win was the second of the year for the No. 2 ranked Indians, as they will face Woodland Park at home on Tuesday.
As for the Terrors, they will head down to Pueblo for their next game against County on Tuesday.
In the later game, Doherty and Pine Creek saw each other for the second night in a row after the Spartans beat the Eagles on Friday night in overtime.
In Saturday's contest, Doherty was the better team beating Pine Creek, 5 to 2.
The win moves the Spartans to 3-1 and will face Mountain Vista on Monday, while Pine Creek will still continue to look for their first win of the season on Tuesday at Chaparral.
