DENVER — As the coronavirus has made its way through the NBA, on Thursday it touched the Denver Nuggets.
According to a release, a member of the Denver Nuggets organization tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first player, coach or employee to have a confirmed test of COVID-19, from the Nuggets.
The employee was tested after experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 on March 16th and are currently under the care of team medical staff and in self-isolation.
The Nuggets will continue to work in coordination with team physicians, public health officials and infectious disease experts, while focusing on the health and safety of everyone in our community.
The Nuggets played the final game in the NBA, against the Dallas Mavericks, prior to the NBA suspending, and then postponing, the season.
