WIDEFIELD, Colorado — The Coronado High girls basketball team beat Widefield High 57-50 on the road Friday to improve to 5-2 on the year, and 3-1 in league play. The Cougars are currently in second place in the 4A Colorado Springs Metro League standings, trailing only Canon City in league play.
Coronado will enjoy a week off. Their next game will be at home against Mesa Ridge on Thursday, February 18.
Meanwhile, Widefield falls to 2-3 overall and still looking for their first win against a Metro League opponent. The Gladiators will host Harrison on Tuesday, February 16.
