COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are looking to blow some stuff up at the end of the 2018 season.
The team announced Tuesday it is making up its postponed July 4 fireworks show on back-to-back nights on the last homestand of the season on Friday, Aug. 31 and on Saturday, Sept. 1. The affiliate will play the Oklahoma City Dodgers both nights.
The team is calling the display its largest fireworks shows ever. Both are expected to last about 20 minutes. Fans who attended the July 4 game will have a chance to redeem their tickets for free on August 31 or for a half-priced ticket on Sept. 1.
The team had to cancel its July 4 celebration due to thunderstorms in the area on July 4.
