KALAMAZOO, (MI) — The Colorado College men's hockey team fell behind 3-0 at Lawson Ice Arena and never fully recovered in their 5-2 loss at Western Michigan Friday night.

Trailing 3-0 in the second period, Tigers senior Chris Wilkie netted his 16th and 17th goals of the season to cut the deficit to 3-2 after two periods.

Freshman goaltender Matt Vernon made 39 saves in the loss.

Another missed opportunity in a tightly-contested conference, Colorado College falls to 8-10 -1 overall and 3-7-1 in NCHC play. The Tigers will look to split the series Saturday, puck drop is set for 7:07 p.m.
