BOULDER — The Pac-12's Defensive Player of the Year, and Colorado Buffaloes top scorer from this past season, are testing the NBA draft waters.
CU junior guard McKinley Wright & forward Tyler Bey will test the NBA draft process, but will not sign with an agent, leaving the door open to return for their senior year.
In a post on twitter, Wright wrote in part, "Ever since I was five years old, my dream has been to play in the NBA...I have decided to enter the 2020 NBA Draft process while keeping my eligibility. Please respect and support my decision!"

Junior forward Tyler Bey made a formal announcement on Twitter.
In his twitter post, he said in part, ""Ever since I picked up a basketball, it was a dream to play in the NBA. That being said, after talking with my coaches and parents, I've decided that I will be declaring for the 2020 NBA draft."

Both will have 10 days prior to the draft to either declare to the NBA or return to school.
Wright was named a first-team all-Pac-12 selection for the second time earlier this month. He led the Buffaloes at 14.2 points and 5.1 assists per game.
Currently, Wright is not found on any mock draft boards, while Bey has ranged from a late first-round-pick to an undrafted.
The 22-year-old led the Buffs with 7.0 defensive rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks per game, while also being named to the All-Pac 12 second team. He was the only player in the conference ranked in the top 15 in rebounding, steals and blocks.
