LARAMIE, WYO. — The (4-5) Air Force men's basketball team used 17 three-pointers to top (3-6) Wyoming 86-77 in their Mountain West Conference opener Wednesday night at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie (WY).

Red-hot from behind the arc, the Falcons were 17-of-30 on the night, jumping out to a 38-29 halftime lead and never looking back against the Cowboys.

Sophomore guard A.J. Walker led the way with a team-high 20 points, while senior forward Lavelle Scottie added 19 and classmate Ryan Swan chipped in with 17.

Fresh off their best win of the season, Air Force will welcome Nevada to Clune Arena Saturday for their MWC home opener. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m.
