Senior guard Sid Tomes hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 27 seconds remaining as the Air Force men's basketball team rallied to beat New Mexico 60-58 Wednesday night at Clune Arena.
Trailing 58-54 in the final 70 seconds, Tomes hit back-to-back buckets from behind the arc to put the Falcons ahead for good in their home finale.
Tomes finished the night with 10 points, while fellow seniors Lavelle Scottie and Ryan Swan added 16 and 14 points, respectively. The class of 2020 accounted for 57 of the team's 60 points on the night.
With the win, Air Force improves to 11-18 and 5-12 in Mountain West Conference play. The Falcons wrap their regular season at Colorado State Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
