USAFA — AIC scored three goals in a span of 3:34 in the second period en route to a 5-1 win over Air Force in an Atlantic Hockey Association game, Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Cadet Ice Arena.
“I thought it was a pretty even first period, but then the second period got away from us,” head coach Frank Serratore said. “Against AIC, it doesn’t have to get away for long. They have some opportunistic players and when you give them a chance, they will put it away. We lost our way a couple times and got away from our structure. They didn’t really get much that we didn’t give them. We died tonight from some self-inflicted wounds.”
Air Force travels to Army West Point for a two-game AHA series against the Black Knights, Jan. 10-11.
