USAFA — The Air Force hockey team opened a two-game series with RIT on Thursday.

The Tigers though were too much, taking down the Falcons 2-1.

AFA's Matt Pulver scored the lone goal for the Falcons, as they still search for there first win the season.

The Falcons out-shot RIT 44-11.

Air Force 0-5 for the first time under head coach Frank Serratore.

“We have to find a way to score goals,” head coach Frank Serratore said. “If we don’t, things will get worse before they get better. I told our guys they have to keep their heads up. We can’t feel sorry for ourselves. Our effort was fabulous. We carried the play territorially, but have to find a way to score.”

Game 2 of the series is on Friday at 7:05 P.M.
