Seth Fuqua is going places.
Don’t know the name? You will.
The Vanguard senior basketball player just broke 2,000 points in his high school career–and he still has a good chunk of the season left.
Fuqua is in the top 10 all-time on the CHSAA scoring chart.
News5 Sports spoke with him, via e-mail on Sunday, about breaking that 2,000-point mark against Lamar.
Fuqua says he was more focused on the game than his personal stats, because both teams (up to that point) were undefeated.
He said it didn’t really hit him until after the game, in the locker room, what he had truly accomplished.
So far, Fuqua says 8 colleges have either offered him scholarships or shown strong interest–but he wants to play out the season, and then sit down with his family and make a decision.
We’ll have more on this story later in the week.
