PUEBLO — Colorado Parks and Wildlife said they made no arrests for boating under the influence, this Fourth of July weekend. However, the four officers who were patrolling Lake Pueblo talked to over 160 boaters.
This was part of Operation Dry Water, which happened all over the state starting on July 4 until the 7.
"If you look at it in a positive sense, that means hopefully people did heed our warnings and are being safe out there and not drinking and driving and operating their boat or even their cars." Park Manger Monique Mullis said.
Lake Pueblo said even though Operation Dry Water is over, people can expect this kind of enforcement the rest of the boating season.
