NEW YORK — The New York City Medical Examiner has positively identified the remains of a person killed in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center using a DNA test of the remains.

This marks the 1,644th person identified from the attacks.

To date, only 60% of those killed 17 years ago in the World Trade Center attack have been positively identified. This is the second positive I.D. made in two months.

Before June, no victims had been identified in 11 months.

The name of the woman identified is being withheld at her family's request.
