ELBERT COUNY, Colo. — The Elbert County Sheriff's Office is looking for anyone who was in contact with a woman whose remains were found on a large ranch in October.

Investigators identified the woman found on the property as Emily Norman, 35. The mother of two struggled with homelessness the last several years, but typically stayed in the Denver metro area, authorities said.

According to the sheriff's office, property owners called them Oct. 8 after they discovered what they believed to be human remains on the 17,000-acre cattle ranch located near the Elbert and Arapahoe County border. The remains were discovered in a remote location within the property. Norman's death is being investigated as a homicide.

The sheriff's office is looking for anyone who's had any type of communication with Norman in the last year and can provide insight to her disappearance and death. Anyone with information can use the Elbert County Sheriff's Office tip line at 303-805-6111 or email crimetips@elbertcounty-co.gov.
