COLORADO SPRINGS — Harrison District 2 confirms Harrison High School is currently on lockout status due to police activity in the area.
A lockdown was put in place around 12:20 p.m. after police say there were reports of a man with a gun outside Harrison High School. Officers responded to the campus and thoroughly searched the school as well as the neighborhood and say nothing was found. Officers are remaining in the area to patrol.
The school then transitioned to lockout status and will remain throughout the remainder of the school day as a precautionary measure. The district says no students are believed to be in any danger.
