UPDATE 4 P.M.: Police say the shop that sold the gun to the Gilroy mass shooting suspect is Big Mike’s Gun and Ammo in Fallon, ABC News reports.

Big Mike’s Gun and Ammo released the following statement on Facebook:

"We feel so very sorry for the Families, I am heartbroken this could ever happen. Please show only respect here. Good people have been hurt and this goes against everything I believe in. I have always said we will sell to good people and have done everything we can to make sure this happens. We obey the Laws, We are a small home business, we sell to people who we think are upstanding citizens to promote safe sport shooting. I pray to God for all the families. I did not know this individual. He ordered the rifle off my internet page. When I did see him, he was acting happy and showed no reasons for concern. I would never ever sell any firearm to anyone who acted wrong or looks associated with any bad group like white power. Everyone is my brother and sister and I am mourning for the families. Mike."

KTNV (LAS VEGAS) -- A 19-year-old man cut through a fence to get around security on Sunday at a garlic festival in Gilroy, California, and then opened fire on a crowd of people, killing three and injuring at least 12 others.

Authorities have identified the shooter, who was killed by police within one minute, as Santino William Legan. He was a native to the Gilroy area, but authorities say he was living in Nevada leading up to the shooting. The District Attorney for Mineral County shared this statement with 13 Action News:

"In the early morning hours of July 29, 2019, Mineral County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in a search of a residence located in Walker Lake, Nevada. This residence is believed to have been used by the Gilroy, California, shooter during the days prior to the July 28th incident. Mineral County Sheriff Randy Adams stated that, 'Mineral County Deputies supported FBI agents by obtaining a search warrant for a unit in a triplex located in at{sic} Walker Lake. As this is an ongoing investigation, we are not able to comment further at this time.'"

Walker Lake is located near Hawthorne, which is about 5 hours northwest of Las Vegas.

In addition, authorities revealed during a press conference Monday morning that Legan legally purchased an "AK-47-type" rifle in Nevada on July 9. Authorities would not say where exactly in Nevada the gun was purchased.

Gov. Steve Sisolak issued the following statement:

"Our hearts are in mourning after hearing about the tragic loss of life, including a 6-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, and numerous injuries to attendees of the Garlic Festival in Gilroy, CA." Governor Sisolak said. "Nevadans know first-hand the deep pain and suffering the Gilroy community is experiencing right now, and we want them to know we offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. I also want to thank the first responders who quickly secured the scene and undoubtedly prevented even greater harm."

“Our office learned earlier today that the weapon used in the attack was purchased in Nevada. The Nevada Department of Public Safety has reached out to the Gilroy Police Department and federal law enforcement and will provide any assistance as needed.”
