More than 2.1 million Colorado voters return ballots as of 5 p.m.

Colorado Secretary of State figures on the number of ballots tallied as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.

DENVER – You have until 7 p.m. tonight to drop-off your ballot or vote in person this Election Day in Colorado.

According to the Colorado Secretary of State’s office, almost 9,000 more Democrats have voted so far in this election than Republicans.

However, a record number of unaffiliated voters have cast their ballots in Colorado so far.  The total so far is 2,133,397 ballots returned of the 3.2 million mailed out in late October.

As of 5 p.m.:

  • Democrats: 709,301
  • Unaffiliated: 693,669
  • Republicans: 700,697

In El Paso County 227,090 people have returned ballots.
