The state released guidance earlier this month on tips and tricks to celebrate Halloween along with alternatives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The state is recommending alternatives to traditional trick-or-treating with lining your driveway with candy, using a plastic slide or pipes to deliver candy from a distance, and taking children on a treasure hunt to look for candy and Halloween-themed items.
If you do decide to celebrate Halloween, the state says outdoor gatherings in smaller groups is safest with mask-wearing. Masks that come with costumes do not provide the same protection against COVID-19.
