COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — A man has turned himself in following a shooting near Mitchell High School Saturday, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

Police say 25-year-old Deomni Myers turned himself in Sunday. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Currently, five victims are in stable condition while one person is in critical condition.

The call for shots fired sent police to the 1400 block of Potter Drive, near Mitchell High School Saturday night.

Police say six people were injured, four were taken to the hospital in an ambulance, and two others took themselves to the hospital.

The early investigation shows the shooting started with an argument that escalated. CSPD doesn't know how many people were firing, but they say they found a lot of shell casings and signs that several people were carrying guns.
