COLORADO SPRINGS — Major construction is starting on one of the largest interchanges in the Colorado Springs area.
The area of I-25 and Powers Blvd.
The first phase of the project is connecting I-25 to Voyager Parkway.
According to the city, when the project is complete it will provide direct access to the surrounding area of Polaris Point, where there is shopping and entertainment.
City leaders said the goal is to have the project done by the Spring of 2021.
A private ground breaking was held Wednesday afternoon to officially kick off the project.
