Women's March to impact downtown traffic Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS — The 2020 Colorado Springs Womxn's March will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday downtown, and will have an impact on traffic and bus service for the afternoon.

The annual event starts with a keynote address at the City Auditorium at 221 Kiowa Street, followed by a march through downtown at 2:30.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit riders will not be able to use the downtown terminal Saturday from 1-4 p.m., and bust stop #2349 at Wahsatch Ave. and Kiowa Street will not be serviced during those hours.

Instead, riders can access an alternate location on southbound Weber Street just north of E. Kiowa.

The following streets will have a rolling closure during Saturday's march:

  • Westbound Kiowa Street between Weber and Nevada, and Eastbound Kiowa Street between Tejon and Weber
  • Northbound Nevada Avenue between Kiowa and Platte
  • Westbound Platte Avenue between Nevada and Tejon
  • Eastbound Kiowa between Tejon and Weber
