COLORADO SPRINGS — Quarantine for 134 people is coming to an end after two people tested positive from Widefield High School, according to the Widefield District 3.

A spokesperson for the district confirmed 124 students and 10 staff members have been in quarantine since Monday and "most or all" are returning to the school next week on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

The two positive cases were a staff member and student who live in the same home, which the district says is "not considered an outbreak."

Secondary students are currently learning in a hybrid model with their first day on Sept. 22. The district said these students are coming in for two days a week.

Widefield District 3 said they worked with the health department on guidelines regarding the two positive cases.
