SAN ISABEL — People around the Wet Mountains spent part of Thursday digging out from Wednesday night's snow storm.

San Isabel and Rye received more than a foot of snow. That caused some power outages in the area overnight, and a busy day of cleaning up.

"Another beautiful day here in San Isabel. I think we got about 18 to 20 inches of snow. It was absolutely gorgeous," said David Helbrecht. "I am going to be snow throwing 20 inches of snow off my drive way. It's going to be about a 3 hour project today."

Some people took advantage of the fresh powder. One man told us he went show shoeing around Isabel Lake.
