COLORADO SPRINGS — If you've ever wondered where your hard-earned tax dollars go, there's a website that can help.
SpringsTaxpayers.com is an online service that promotes transparency and tracks tax dollars.
The website is expanding with a service called "Your Town Taxpayers."
That developed because of the site's popularity state-and nationwide when it comes to uncovering the truth about tax increases, zoning issues, and other information about where your money goes.
"What we're offering is, hey, here's our format, here's what we've started, and if this is something that's interesting to you, let us help you get started," said founder Laura Carno.
The non-profit watchdog hopes its work will allow residents in other tows to focus on their local issues.
