COLORADO SPRINGS — The U.S. Air Force Academy announced it will conduct 100% identification checks at both of its gates until further notice.
Visitors will need to provide military ID, a driver's license, or a photo ID to enter through either gate.
Those with a Department of Defense ID can also enter through either gate.
During this time, those who travel to the campus should allow extra time to get through the gates.
USAFA said it will remain open to the public during visitor hours and those procedures remain the same.
The announcement comes after Fort Carson suspended the Trusted Traveler program at its post Sunday.
