USAFA — On Thursday, the U.S. Air Force Academy announced they are reopening some base facilities.

In addition, the Academy will also lift the Official Business Only restrictions starting Monday.

The reopening means DoD identification cardholders can access the base, however services and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities may be limited and/or have restrictions. This decision is subject to change.

Some of the facilities that will now be open at the Academy are The Exchange and Commissary, the Eisenhower Golf Course, fishing lakes and trails, the Community Center Fitness Center, the Outdoor Recreation Rental Office, the Arts & Crafts studio, the Auto Skills automatic and manual car wash stalls, Famcamps, the Farish Recreation Center and the Equestrian Center.

In addition, the base’s North Gate is open for all DoD identification cardholders Mon-Fri from 6-8 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. The Academy remains closed to visitors.
