COLORADO SPRINGS — Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is one of the most breathtaking and popular tourism spots in southern Colorado, if not the entire state. Now, upgrades have been made at the iconic park to make the visitor experience just a little bit better.
A new restroom facility was officially opened on Friday, it sits off the main parking lot. It also offers visitors an observation deck, and more than triples the number of restrooms from four to thirteen.

John Stark, Garden of the Gods manager told News5, ' It was a great idea that came out of the parks department. We saw that this was an opportunity to not just construct a restroom, but create a gathering space.''

And this will come in handy, as an estimated six million people passed through the park last year. The project was paid for through the lodgers and automobile rental tax or LART, the Garden of the Gods Foundation, and
the Trails and Open Space Coalition.
