COLORADO SPRINGS — University of Colorado - Colorado Springs saw nearly 1,000 freshmen move onto campus Tuesday ahead of the fall semester. Students moving in said the experience was different than what they expected.
"I don't know what I really expected, but I think mostly just a lot of people everywhere and just moving," said Jasmine Nelson, UCCS freshman. "It's not too much that, it's a lot of talking."
Students had the opportunity to go to an ice cream social in the evening set up by the school to welcome its newcomers. The start of the fall semester kicks off next Monday with an anticipated 12,500 students taking classes.
