TELLER COUNTY — A home is a total loss in the Tranquil Acres subdivision just west of Woodland Park following a large overnight fire.
Video from the Teller County Sheriff's Office shows the collapsed home engulfed in flames just before 4:00 a.m.
Authorities evacuated everyone in the area as crews worked to prevent the spread of the flames through brush and trees on site.
The fire was out within two hours of the first call for help, but it was too late to save one animal in the home.
Fire investigators have not yet determined a cause for the fire.
