HUERFANO COUNTY — An early morning crash Interstate 25 in Huerfano County claimed the lives of three people from Colorado Springs, two of whom were identified as relatives.

According to Colorado State Patrol, 52-year-old Steven Collier, 21-year-old Mason Collier, and an unnamed 16-year-old male were killed when a pickup heading north went into the median and oncoming traffic at mile marker 50 in Walsenberg.

The Ford F-250 rolled several times in the crash, colliding with the Collier's car and another pickup. According to troopers, the teenager killed in the crash was not wearing a seatbelt.

All three of the victims were in the Collier's Hyundai Elantra. The other pickup rolled following the collision, causing serious injuries to the driver, 85-year-old Garrett Robinson of Dallas.

The driver cited for the crash has been identified as 24-year-old Ragan Seely of Dallas. He and his passenger suffered minor injuries as both were wearing seatbelts. Troopers believe excessive speed during winter conditions played a role in the crash.
