COLORADO SPRINGS — U.S. Air Force Academy cadets are getting on top of their leadership skills thanks to a new rope course on campus.

The adventure based learning program challenges sophomores to solve problems while developing leadership skills. Instructors say the ropes course isn't new, but the way they are using it is.

"They can experiement, they can fail, they can success, but as long as they're learning, reflecting, debriefing, then we know they're finding their own style of leadership," said Lt. Col. Rob Marshall.

After the cadets complete the court, they will then split up into teams for a skills competition.
