COLORADO SPRINGS — Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place on the southeast side of the city Wednesday night. When officers arrived at a home in the 200 block of University Dr. at about 5:30 p.m., they found a man with life-threatening injuries to his upper body. He was transported to a local hospital where he died.
Detectives from CSPD's Violent Crimes Homicide/Assault Unit are looking into what led up to the stabbing, which is considered a homicide. Police also say they have identified everyone involved and there is no threat to the public. The exact cause of the victim's death and their identity will be released by the El Paso County Coroner in the coming days after an autopsy is completed.
