COLORADO SPRINGS — The holidays are a stressful time, especially for those who have no home or a Thanksgiving meal.
Wednesday, the Springs Rescue Mission put on its early Thanksgiving Dinner for the homeless and for families who can't afford a Thanksgiving dinner.
In a year that has been hard on many, the Springs Rescue Mission said it's doing things like providing for others that makes a difference.
"So many of the folks that we serve at the Rescue Mission have so little, but they're so thankful for everything that they're able to receive, and that's why I say that it's humbling. All the things that we can take for granted, even providing a Thanksgiving meal, have been upset during this season. But we're able to move forward," CDO Travis Williams said.
