COLORADO SPRINGS — Living with a traumatic brain injury requires support and help.
The Headway Brain Injury Stroke Support Group meets twice a month in Colorado Springs and provides a social outlet for those living with a brain injury.
The group says a general lack of knowledge and understanding makes those with brain injuries feel isolated.
"It's a second family, basically what it is. People call me all the time for information or if they just want to know something," said certified brain injury specialist, Deborah Carnes.
