COLORADO SPRINGS — Officers responded to reports of shots being fired just before 2 a.m. near the Police Operations Center, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said they found evidence of shots being fired early Friday morning when they arrived to the scene at the intersection of South Weber Street and East Rio Grande Street.

Authorities said they did not find any signs of damage to surrounding buildings or vehicles.

Police are unsure if the center was being targeted or if people in two passing cars were shooting at one another.
