Afternoon thunderstorms are possible again Friday afternoon across southern Colorado with hail, strong winds and heavy rains being the primary threats.

Heavy rain is being reported in southeastern Colorado Springs as emergency personnel are being called to check on water over roadways and a possible lightning strike at a home. The lightning strike hit a transformer, but did no further damage. News5 in on the way to check out any localized street flooding.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning has expired for Teller County.

2:27 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Teller County, including the town of Woodland Park. The main threats with this storm are quarter-sized hail and heavy rain that could cause localized flooding. It is moving to the west-southwest at about 10 mph.
