PUEBLO WEST — Voter approved projects in Pueblo West will start to take shape this year.
The district plans to start building its new fire station this September thanks to the fire tax that was approved last year.
The aquatics center will also be in the design phase this year. That was approved by voters in 2016.
"This is a huge thing for our community. We are updating and upgrading a lot of things, a lot of them are voter-approved initiatives that we want to make sure we move forward with, especially the things that are important to our community," Samantha Dosen said.
Other projects the district will be working on this year include upgrading Cattail Crossing and security cameras district-wide.
