CANON CITY — A semi-truck plowed through a business in Canon City Monday and Tuesday we heard from an employee who was inside the building when it happened.
Jax Gibson was working inside the Royal Gorge Rafting and Zipline building when the truck came crashing in.
The semi stopped just a few feet from her.
She said after the shock wore off, she and the other employees were able to escape the building.
"All the equipment is replaceable, but our lives aren't, and the fact that we all came out of this completely unscathed, not even a piece of debris fell on us, that's a miracle. I consider this nothing but a miracle," Gibson said.
Canon City Police said the driver of the semi crashed because he wasn't paying attention to the road. He was cited for careless driving.
