COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Utilities, Classic Homes, and Springs Homebuilders are showing off new technologies for this year's Parade of Homes.
A smart home in Flying Horse combines solar power with state of the art storage systems and other energy saving features. Builders say they are striding towards homes of the future.
''We expect to install over 1,000 customer side solar systems this year. That's more systems than we did in our first decade of running the rebate program," said Gabriel Caunt, with Springs Utilities.
If you want to learn more, you can see the home on Clayhouse Drive during the Parade of Homes on August 17th. The entire Parade of Homes runs from August 2nd to the 18th.
