COLORADO SPRINGS — Care and Share is evaluating damage done to their Colorado Springs facility in last Friday's storm.
The storm caused flooding across the distribution center.
Care and Share said there were several team members on site during the storm who did their best to protect food and equipment.
A spokesperson for the organization said it's hard to see the damage but they're still focused on the mission of helping others.
"You know our organization continues to fill the needs of the community and coming in here Friday night and seeing that water it was heart breaking. The good news is that this community supports us so generously and we'll get through it and we'll continue to serve our neighbors. "We'll continue to work on getting food, but nevertheless it certainly was a tough sight to see," COO Shannon Brice said.
So far, Care and Share doesn't have an estimate of what repairs are needed or what they might cost.
