Pushing back against illegal trash

PUEBLO — The problem of illegal trash dumping has become so prevalent, the city and county have set up a trash task force, and have assigned a man to specifically focus on enforcement against those who violate laws prohibiting illegal dumping of trash.

Ryan Tessman is with the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment has been brought in to lead the charge against illegal dumping. He told News5 "illegal dumping has been pretty prevalent in Pueblo so we are looking to use cameras and to monitor sites to reduce illegal dumping and to prosecute and fine those who are caught doing it."
