PUEBLO — Restoration work on the historic Goodnight Barn in Pueblo is finally done.

It took almost seven years and more than $1 million to restore it.

The building is more than 100 years old and is on the national register of historic places.

It was home to famous rancher Charles Goodnight who invented the chuckwagon.

"I cant tell you how grateful i am that we were able to do this because it had been stopped and started several times and people just kind of gave up because it was daunting but we decided to stick at it and i am so proud of it," said Goodnight Barn Preservation Committee member Laurel Campbell.

The preservation group says it's still in the works for then it will open to the public and tours.
