PUEBLO — A Pueblo woman who suffered a stroke has just accomplished a big goal.
Darla Carlock was at work back in late 2018 when she experienced a stroke.
Her road to recovery started a short time later and with the support of her loved ones and health service company, Cigna and Achilles International, she recently completed the Walt Disney World 5K.
"I was so ecstatic. I was just so happy that I had the support from my family, from my ex-husband, from my children, from Cigna from Achilles, all these support systems that are in place to help," Carlock said.
She said her next goals are to return to work, do more race, and possibly even move up to a 10k.
