PUEBLO — A middle school in Pueblo is helping out its neighbor.
Earlier this year, Belmont Elementary had to tear down its playground because of structural damage.
Heaton Middle School heard about the news and instead of having a canned food drive, students held a fundraiser to raise money for Belmont.
Students gave the school a $1,700 check to help pay for the playground.
The school has raised about $4,000 dollars so far. It needs around $150,000 in order to get a playground that meets the needs of all its students.
