PUEBLO — Pueblo Police are facing a problem in school zones this year.
So far, Pueblo PD has issued 106 speeding ticket since the school year began on August 20th.
Traffic Sergeant Taylor said that is a big increase from the previous year's numbers and her team is now focusing on school zones.
"I think the ultimate success would be seeing a drop in the number of citations we are writing, which means that ultimately the message has gotten out and we have done our job," Taylor said.
If you are caught speeding it is going to cost you. Fines are doubled in school zones.
