PUEBLO — Kids in Pueblo are learning what it's like to work as a police officer.

The Pueblo Police Explorer Program teaches kids topics like felony traffic stops, domestic violence situations, and how to deal with mental illness.

It also teaches kids discipline, responsibility and how to have fun together.

"The kids get a lot out of it but I think that the instructors and the SROs in this room probably get more out of it. It's really fun to work with these kids, their energetic, their excited to be here, it reinvigorates us and it gives us a sense of pride that we can give back to these kids," Sgt. Dennis Furbush said.
