PUEBLO — Pueblo is looking to take back its world record.
A few years ago, Pueblo held the record for the world's largest outdoor mural.
The mural was on the Arkansas River levee but had to be destroyed because the levee was not up to federal standards.
Now, the push is on to complete a new work of art.
"You know it is exciting. It took over 20 years to cover it before. I think it is going to happen a lot faster and I think that it is going to be a very important location, like jumping and hoping with lots more activity," said artist, Cynthia Ramu.
Organizers hope to have artists working on the mural by next month.
If you want to take part, check out the Pueblo Conservancy District's web page. Application should be available within two weeks.
