PUEBLO — A group in Pueblo said Thursday it's seeing progress in the fight against illegal dumping.

The Pueblo City-County Trash Task Force said it has identified 13 suspects for illegal dumping and 60 sites for clean up since the beginning of 2020.

"The progress has been great. We are doing a lot to make Pueblo a lot cleaner and healthier. So far we have removed 25 cubic yards of trash and that is not including today so that number will go exponentially," said Ryan Tessman, who is part of the task force.

The organization says cameras will be installed next month.

Anyone who wants to help with the clean-up effort can call the Pueblo Department of Health and Environment at 719-583-6000.
