PUEBLO — The Pueblo Fire Department will soon be on national television.

The department will be featured on A&E's "Live Rescue."

Big Fish Entertainment will be sending film crews to follow fire teams as they respond to emergencies in real time.

Fire Chief Barbara Huber said she got a call from the show after her department responded to an emergency on the Arkansas River earlier this year.

"It is an exciting opportunity. I am very proud of Pueblo and the people who work for this department, and I think it is a great opportunity for us to shine and show that skill," Huber said.

The Chief said crews will be in Pueblo next week to start filming.
