PUEBLO — Pueblo Police are doing with more with less tips.
Pueblo CrimeStoppers released their 2019 numbers Tuesday and there was a drop from the previous year.
The numbers showed that there were more than 400 fewer tips received compared to 2018, but there were more arrests, more property recovered and more narcotics seized thanks to the tips they did get.
"One of the things we believe is a factor are the 2b officers. Obviously when we get a tip it is followed up by our patrol officers and with the additional officers we get from 2b, we are able to follow up on those tips rather quickly," said Sgt. Franklyn Ortega.
PD also said CrimeStoppers tips helped solve a homicide in 2019.
